My first little girl. You are really so sweet. You love celebrating anything, but celebrating love made just made you light up. You asked if we could pretend it was Valentines day again tomorrow. You sure can kiddo, you love showing love and you are loved by so many! Love you so much Sweetie!

Darling Daphanie,
You have been a curious little girl lately. Which means more messes for me to clean, having a more watchful eye on you, having more patience and taking more time to teach you. You want to grow to fast, slow down darling lets try to enjoy this time right now. I love you sooo much!

Precious Penelope,
Last Valentines day you were a wee baby, which we already loved tremendously. You are now so independent and you want what you want, and you let it be known! You are so fond of your daddy (something every girl in this house is), you light up when you see or hear him. Love you Pea!

Cloud Dough

The other morning the girls and I tried out a new experiment recipe for some sort of play dough. It is called cloud dough. It is only made with two ingredients.

Cloud Dough

8 cups flour

1 cup baby oil

It is really soft and molds like wet sand, but feels dry! The girls' hands were soft and smelling good after they played!

They played for over 45 minutes, and the spillage wasn't hard to clean up!!

mini getaway!

We went to a indoor water park and stayed over night in the hotel for a mini get away! The girls love to swim so this was awesome for them! Daphanie is the thrill seeker and wanted to go down the slide again and again. Lilly on the other hand went down once with both mom and dad, and said she would go again next time we come! Penelope didn't mind being in the water and enjoyed walking around in the little kids area. I didn't take my camera in to the wet water park so you just get to see the pre-water park excitement in the hotel room!

Happy Birthday Christmas baby!
One year ago on Christmas you came in to this world, 4 weeks early, to surprise us all that you were a happy healthy little Girl. Just about everyone had hopes of a little boy, but everyone was happy to be blessed with another adorable little girl. We are so happy that you are in our lives!

You have started to walk, it didn't happen till after your Birthday, but you have caught on fast!
You still army crawl a lot since it is easier on the hardwood floors, but you have mastered the "normal" way to crawl too!
You just started to really eat and enjoy food, but you still love milk the best!
I think you could live off yogurt bites if I let you!

You love babies and small stuffies, you love to hold them, hug them and stick your fingers in their mouths and eyes!

You still adore your miss matched blanket that has an over sized tag!

You climb stairs crazy fast, and do it all the time!

You usually hate it when you get carried around by your sisters. Still do not liked to he hugged by them, I think they love on you a little to hard!

Your birthmark got darker and darker by the day your first couple weeks of life, and it is hinden in a good spot!

We got your ears pierced this last summer when your big sisters got theirs done, we didn't want you to be left out, and it was as good as time as any! You were upset, but quickly got over it!

You cried when everyone sung you Happy Birthday, you were a little overwhelmed!

You kind of enjoyed opening presents, but you got side tracked by the wonderful gifts!

One year ago you started out at 5.25lbs and 18inches and now at ONE year you are 17.8lbs and 28inches

I hope your next year is as wonderful as the first!

Disney On Ice

Lilly and Daphanie seen a advertisement on the back of a quad cities family magazine about Disney On Ice, then seen it on the television! They were hooked and asked to see it. They have a wonderful Daddy who bought tickets for the Saturday morning show. You can tell by all the girls faces that they were in awe and excited!

Salt Dough Ornaments

These little girls of mine love, I mean LOVE to do crafts. Be it paint paper, lace beads to make a necklace, use glue and glitter, anything craft-like is loved in this house. So just about everyday after school we do a craft. So today we made salt dough ornaments for our Christmas tree. Lilly had a fever today so that is the reason for everyone still in their jammies. Oh and this is real life so there is Lego's all over the floor in the background!

Salt Dough:

1/2C flour

1/4C salt

1/4C water

mix well

..roll out ..

..cut out or mold into shapes..

..bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours..

..let cool and paint..

we are also going to add clear spray sealer, when they are finished we will show you our end result!

Thankful November

I am thankful for Daphanie. She makes me pray for patience. She likes to test her boundaries, usually takes them to the limit. She is full of curiosity and spunk!

I am thankful for Lillyann. She makes me smile with her sweet words and innocence. Being the oldest is hard when everyone is looking up to you. She does her big sister job wonderfully.

I am thankful for Penelope. She changes daily and reminds me to slow down and take it all in. Lately she been wanting snuggles through out the day.. and night!

I am thankful for Corey. He is a great provider and wonderful daddy to our little girls. He is always pushing himself to improve and grow.

I am thankful for a healthy family.

I am thankful for my children. They give me the job I so much desired. Being a mother is a job that changes each day. Sure there are things that stay the same: dishes, laundry, cleaning toilets, wiping butts.. but having the chance to watch and mold your child to become an admirable person is truly a gift.

I am thankful for my Mom and Dad. For raising me to be my own person. To not follow the crowd. If it wasn't for them, it's simple, I wouldn't be here today.

I am thankful for music. It makes me happy. Gives me a reason to dance in the kitchen with my little girls.

I am thankful for my brother. If I grew up alone it wouldn't have been the same. He taught me to play many sports and made me give them my all. He would never let anyone tease or be mean to me other than him.

I am thankful for dishwashers. I hate doing dishes and most the time would rather load and unload the dishwasher than do them by hand.

I am thankful for the Internet, blogs and pintrest. I can get lost on it for hours at night.

I am thankful for chocolate, it is absolutely positively my favorite thing to eat. Yum.

We got out our winter/Christmas decor out this past week and the girls wanted lights in there room too. So we wrapped them around Daphanie's bed and over the window to Lillyann's bed. They love them as a night light while they fall asleep, and the glow of the lights is beautiful!

Daphanie and I set up a tea party while Lilly was at school. She help me lay out blankets, we even had some baby dolls join us. We popped the popcorn and added a few M&M's and filled our cups with tea. We enjoyed the afternoon sun and nice breeze while we talked about what went on at school and at home while Lilly was at school.

"Is today Monday?" Lilly said to me first thing this morning. She knew she would have her first day of school on Monday. She has been so excited about going to school. I walked her into her class and she found her hook and met her teacher and I walked out and she started looking about her new classroom. Our family went to the Niabi Zoo. It is a short 20 minute drive from our new home. The girls seen for the first time an elephant, had their first ever pony ride and Penelope had her first zoo train ride.

Penelope has started solids! The first day I gave her some to try she wailed and was hard to clam down. I tried again a couple days later she seemed like she was still hungry. She didn't take it to well. I waited about two more weeks and she is now eating like a pro. She is loving the homemade apples, sweet potatoes, peas and carrots and will be making and trying green beans this week!

While out and about with my girls, There is at least one person that asks if Lilly and Daphy are twins. There is a height difference, but they do look pretty similar and sometimes are dressed coordinating or in the same outfit. Well they were both made by the same people, so they are going to look similar!

So here is how it went the other day at the post office..

While I was up at the counter I hear a lady ask a man in front of her- Do you think they're twins?
man- They look a lot a like, but I think the one in the blue is older.
I look over at them and smile.
lady- Are they twins?
me- No, about 20 months apart, between each each girl.
Then they all proceed to tell me how adorable they are, of course I already knew that!

Sticks and buckets are wonderful drums when you are singing songs outside! They sang hit songs like "ABC's", "Twinkle Twinkle" and many more!

Last Day of School 2011

Lilly had her last day at Casa Montessori. I am really sad that we will have to find her a new preschool when we move! Casa was wonderful for her! She learned a lot and made wonderful friends! She was really upset when I told her it was her last day, but is also excited in the fact that summer is here! Check out this post and see her on her first day of School here!

Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy and Ear Tubes

Lilly was seen by the ENT doctor last month and he was surprised how big her tonsils were and that she was even able to eat! I also let the ENT doctor know that she failed a hearing test, they tested her ears and they were also surprised how well she talks for not being able to hear clearly, since her ears are filled with fluid. So he set us up for Surgery to remove the tonsils, adenoid and put tubes in her ears.
Here she is before surgery, really not knowing what is going to happen. You could tell she was excited to be some where new, but nervous too!

They also gave her Jessie doll a name bracelet/belt so she wouldn't get lost and so Jessie could go with Lilly to surgery.

Here she is in the Pediatrics. She was in pain and not very happy. She was kind of out of it with the pain meds they have given her after surgery. She kept looking at the red light on her thumb, which was to measure her oxygen levels.

She had a dry cough so they ordered a breathing treatment to help decrease the swelling in her airway. It helped!

She kept telling us she wasn't tired, but during this picture she was dozing off. I took the crayon away from her and she grabbed it back and kept coloring with her eyes closed!

She had to do 4 things before she could leave. Bathroom, Walk, Drink 16oz and have pain under control. We finally had all of them checked off by 6pm. She was excited to go home, and I was happy to get her home to make her comfortable in her own space!

This Christmas Baby turned four months the day after Easter!
Penelope was 13lbs 5oz (50%) and 23.5 inches long (25%) at her four month appointment last week! She received her vaccines and had a fever for a few days.
She is a very very very HAPPY baby! She loves to sleep, which mostly takes place in her swing! So she loves her swing! Loves laying under the play mat and looking up at all the toys! She loves to suck on her hands, fingers, toys and her bottom lip! Her eyes have lighted up a lot since birth and are now the same color as the big girls and daddy, which is a light blue! She can roll from her tummy to her back. You wont catch her rolling from her back to her belly, she would rather hang out on her side. She also loves watching TV. We don't have it on often so when it is on she is looking up at it!

The girls were outside playing while Corey was working on building the deck. They found out how to turn the water on, so they grabbed the hose and started to play! Rain boots can definitely be used to play in the mud! They sure enjoyed it!

These next few weeks will be busy for us...

We have two well child check-ups this week, on two different days, with two different doctors for two different girls!

Lilly has her first singing program at school this week! She can't wait to sing for us with her friends.

We will be getting ready for Corey's first trip overseas for work!

We will also be getting ready for Lilly to have surgery to remove her tonsils, adenoids and to put tubes in her ears.

We are also getting ready to move 3 hours away from our current home and family!

The other day when we were having some really enjoyable weather we decited to go outside and find something fun to do. I was thinking playing with the scooters and little ride on toys. The girls had a different idea. They went right for the dirt. She was just a digging and a digging and she found something she wasn't so sure about... She then shouted "WORM" picked it up and soon handed off to her little sister. Daphanie looked at it, touched it and of course she gave it a lick. Daphanie just has to try everything once, if not twice! After putting the worm back in the dirt the girls enjoyed running about and chasing each other.

Some Days..

Some days I don't feel out numbered. Some days the kids are all happy at the same time. Some days I don't feel over whelmed. Some days I feel like I am Super Mommy. Some days I can breath easy. Some days the house is clean and laundry is all caught up.

There are days where looking forward to bed time and it is only noon. There are days where I feel I can't catch up. There are days were I yell, because I feel there is no other way they will listen. There are days where I think wow three kids, three and under, I'm crazy.

All days are truly a gift that I get to be with my kids, to watch them learn and grow (fight and whine) I wouldn't give these days up for anything!

I haven't posted in a while becasue life has gotten busy with three little girls and we recently moved a couple blocks away! We now have interent and a new laptop! But within the move I have miss placed the camera, I think I know where it is at but I always forget to look for it! Maybe I can talk my wonderful hardworking husband into buying a new one, which will hopefully last longer and get taken care of better! I swear it will!

But hopefully I can get some new pictures of the girls up soon!

Three little sickies

All three of the girls have been sick these past weeks!

Lilly got strep again for the second time ever! Daphanie has a runny nose and cough that she has had all winter, but has been a little worse this past week. Sweet little Penelope has a cough and a stuffy nose! So hoping we are on the mend and everyone is going to healthy for a while!

We also had some cupcakes, which hers had two candles in it! She blew them out with only two blows! She enjoyed having us sing Happy Birthday to her, but I think she enjoyed the icing on the cake more!
