Apple Festival

Last weekend we stayed at the cabin and then drove to Gays Mills, WI to go to Sunrise Orchard and to the Festival that was in town. After picking out our favorite apples, apple donuts, and sampling yummy apple cider we headed back in to the main part of the Apple Festival. Daphanie got to ride the carousal for the very first time. Lillyann got to ride other festival rides for the first time and had a blast with cousin Madison. We also walked though the flea market to see handmade gifts and goodies!

Swim Lessons

Both girls started parent/child swim lessons at the very end of August. They like being in the water for the most part. It is when we dunk them that they get a little frazzled. Well mostly Lilly, she doesn't like to get water in her eyes! I looked all over town for some toddler sized swim goggles and couldn't find any. I knew if I got the child ones they would just leak since she has such a small face. So we have some coming in the mail but wont be here till almost the end of swim! That is okay though, Lilly will be taking lessons again here shortly since she can move up to another older parent/child swim, then when she is 5 she can move into regular swim lessons.
We have worked on the front swim, or doggy paddle, the back float, and blowing bubbles. Lilly and Daphanie can back float with a life jacket on, which is great since we are ride on the boat a lot! Lilly is really good at swimming with a noddle under her arms with the doggy paddle, she can also do it with a life jacket on!

First Day of Preschool!

Lilly was super excited to go to preschool this morning! Daphanie doesn't seem like she is as excited as Lilly!

When we got there she was talking up a storm. As we opened the door she got closer and closer to me. The teacher then showed her where to hang her bag, she got shy but took the teachers hand. Out the door Daphanie and I went! I went back to get her and I was told there were no tears and she did great! If you want to know what Lilly thought of her first day look at the post below!

What is she up to now?

Daphanie has been showing LOTS of interest in the potty! Daphanie has just turned 19 months, so a little over a year and a half. She has made great progress! Every Morning when she wakes up she will want her diaper off. With in the next hour she will sit down and do a number 2! She usually only has one or none pee accidents during the day! When we go out and about she wears diapers but once we come home we take them off and she will use the potty! This is really the last thing that makes her still a baby. They sure do grow way to fast!
